Mallorca
From the year 2023 I do not have that much to tell, because the year was full of changes and included, among other things, a move away from the capital region in Finland so unfortunately didn't have time to "escape" from here. Settling into a new life in Lapland took its own time, and the end of Spring I was quite a bit of a shock about everything. It's a shame that no one warned in advance what it might takes to move out from a familiar sub-urb back to the wild west (well Lapland is not a wild west but close:D).
The only trip I had time to take outside of Finland during the year 2023 was a trip to Mallorca with my close relatives. Mostly, we celebrated my youngest sister's birthday, enjoyed good food, danced and lay on the beach every day. Our accommodation was located in an area called Magaluf, which is known for its partying and restless nights. It really was, but on the other hand, I had prepared for the trip that this would happen. Luckily, during the day, Magaluf was calm and the beach area was nice to walk and enjoy a cold slush drink (which was at least my and my sisters' favorite). The weather was also favorable, the temperature around + 25 degrees.
During our one-week trip, we also took a day trip to the city of Palma de Mallorca, which was definitely my favorite. In particular, I had been waiting for a visit to the La Seu cathedral, which was wonderful <3
We also wanted to see the magnificent Bellver Castle, where you could feel the whisper of history. I chose that mini dress for walking up the stairs to the Castle, but I managed in the end and the lipstick stayed on my lips as well:D As the last days approached, a street vendor enticed us to buy tickets for a Dolphin boat-style cruise. Unfortunately (probably because of the time of year) we didn't see any dolphins, but on the cruise we could enjoy beautiful scenery, fresh sea air and delicious drinks.
There's still a lot to see in Mallorca and I would definitely like to return to this beautiful island again one day, Spain is always charming! you can't get over it 😊
