The charm of exoticism in Asia
My trips
to Asia are mainly
directed to two
very exotic countries
(at least in
my opinion): India and the
Philippines. My
trip to India in
the summer of
2011 was my
first trip to
the far east. It
was a backpacking
trip and accompanied
by three other
brave Finnish women.
The journey was
an experience and
India is marvelous
in all its
confusion in its
hecticness. I fell in
love with that country,
especially the food
was good although
a bit risky
(almost everyone gets
some kind of stomach
disease in that
country). My friends
and I traveled the
so-called Golden Triangle,
which included Mumbai,
New Delhi, Jaipur
and Varanasi. We
also stopped by the northern
parts, in the
small mountain town
of Dharamsala, in
Kangara. There
we took part in,
among other things,
a yinger yoga
course, which was
an experience in
itself.
In the summer of 2019, I traveled for a month to the Philippines, which also charmed with its exoticism, friendly people and its own kind of chaoticness. In the Philippines I spent most of my time in the capital Manila, but I also visited Boracay island as well as the Taytay region.
You can read more about my Philippine adventure here (sorry, only in Finnish):
